Practice & Teach Movement

We offer many pathways into the practice of Yoga. We share an accessible and inclusive yoga practice. Over time and with consistency, participants can eventually create a yoga Sadhana (daily practice) on their own.

Movement Meditation

This movement meditation by Shiva Rea, creator of Prana Vinyasa Yoga helps to ground your energy, calm your nervous system and move prana (life force/chi energy).

Visualization and Meditation

A 5-minute guided meditation and visualization to help you connect with your inner essence; and to energize and clarify your mind, body, and spirit.

Yoga Nidra (“Yoga Nap”)

A short video that will lead you through a deep relaxation technique called Yoga Nidra, also known as a “Yoga Nap.” A Yoga Nidra session is equivalent to a few hours of restful sleep. This is good to re-energize you during the day or help you prepare for sleep.

We Teach Yoga Sadhana —

Through our years of teaching and studying yoga, we understand the importance of creating a sadhana, a daily spiritual practice of connecting internally to our mental, physical and emotional bodies. A sadhana is a daily support system of self reflection.

Sadhanas are unique to each person’s needs. They provide space for personal growth, self discipline, self acceptance and self care on a daily basis.

Yoga sadhana is a consistent yoga practice. Yoga asanas (poses) are not exercises. It’s about embodying the postures. Yoga includes asana embodiment, movement meditations, mindfulness practices, pranayama (breathing exercises), deep concentration (dyana), mantra chanting, Ayurveda practices (nature’s science of yoga), selfless service (seva/karma yoga), mental visualization, positive thinking and following your unique life path (dharma).

We practice somatic movements, which are conscious, intentional movements offering opportunities for participants to enjoy an internal experience, while embodying poses on the deepest, cellular level.

Somatics allows participants to calm the nervous system, nourish the tissues, generate fresh prana (life force energy/chi) and regenerate the physical, mental and emotional bodies, bringing participants back into balance.

Some of the benefits participants receive from creating a Sadhana includes letting go of fear, releasing stress, cultivating emotional management, strengthening intuition and developing the ability to stay present in the moment no matter what life throws at them.

It’s through personal development and creating trust within, that participants get to know the deepest parts of themselves.

A yoga sadhana is a reminder for the need to slow down, surrender, regenerate, balance and live in harmony with nature.
