Paths to Peace is a team of Trauma Informed Yoga Educators and Healing Artists who offer programs and trainings in racial healing, mental health awareness; peace and nonviolence education and restorative justice through community building.
An Embodied Program —
Our programs are designed to build community and encourage holistic healthy practices for individuals, organizations, advocates, activists, cities, neighborhoods, public safety officials, educators, yogis/yoginis, artists, startups and change agents interested in learning how to transmute trauma through the body’s movement and art.
We tailor all programs and trainings to fit the needs of the client. We consider the specific needs of the audience and their objectives.
Our yoga teaching differs from others in that it’s rooted in Trauma Informed Care education and practices; Hatha, Prana Vinyasa (created by Shiva Rea) and various healing arts modalities.
Our yoga classes are inclusive and made for ALL body types and capabilities. As long as a person is breathing, the program is accessible to them. We place an emphasis on somatic movements and offer participants the opportunity to experience and explore yoga beyond asanas (the physical yoga postures).
We also offer specialized programming for racial healing through the body; as well as programming that focuses on injustices and oppressions that people face personally through their work, within their community or in society.
Our personal journeys of transmuting trauma through the body inspired us to create a program that offers healing practices that are highly effective and accessible.
We also work with a team of psychotherapists. They provide deep reparative therapy to individuals and groups who experience a wide range of emotional challenges particularly involving trauma, depression, anxiety/OCD, grief, loss, abuse and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).
They work with patterns of thinking, deep emotions and can offer supportive hypnotherapy as an opportunity to assist clients in discovering surprising things about themselves.
